There was a day when looking for property that my wife and I walked our present location. It was grown up with tall weeds and debris was everywhere, but with eyes of faith we could see a building with people and cars lined up coming in the drive. Now around the world there are ministries which are a tribute to this church and God’s faithfulness. I would not want to miss the opportunity to be a part of this expanding vision into a new facility that will bless the generations that follow.

During the last several months we have felt a spirit of anticipation - that God is getting ready to do amazing things in and through our church body. He shows us once again that His plans are always bigger than we imagine! How blessed we are to be part of what He is calling us to do!

Leslie and I are excited to be part of what God is about to do. This church family has been amazing to help, to love, to pray, and to support us in so many ways – some that are known and even more unknown. God will do great things when we do what we can. That’s why we’re committed to do what we can as we sow into City on a Hill.

I am so honored and humbled to see for myself what a big God we serve. He has given Paul and me a wonderful opportunity at SCCC to grow and learn about Him and His Word, develop authentic relationships with other believers and to do “kingdom business”. Growing our church’s physical space will give us a way to reach even more men, women and children who need Jesus.

In life we all are faced with decisions and challenges. The same is true with our walk with the Lord. We are at a crossroad now with our expansion project. We can remain as we are or we can stretch our faith to build for future generations. With this expansion project, we will have a positive effect on this area for generations to come, teaching disciples to make disciples. Our sacrifice today will ensure that God’s love will expand in our neighborhood for generations to come.

We know that by contributing to the purchase of our new building, we’re helping more people in our community have the opportunity to know Christ and live victoriously. That’s the best possible investment our family could ever make.

WOW! Look what the Lord has done and is doing here at SCCC. As we enter a new phase, I am excited about the opportunity to make an impact for the most important cause. This campaign opens the door for all of us who call SCCC our home to invest in a way that reaches more of those who need good news in a bad news world.

City on a Hill is not just a theme. It is our heartfelt mission. We have been called by God to provide our children with an environment where they can worship and experience Him. This is an amazing opportunity to equip our children so they can continue to develop deeper relationships with Him - a place where they can learn how to affect their world and to spread the “good news” of Jesus Christ to other people.
